As of January 16th 2006: Andy Bakke The Accordionman has been recovering from the major stroke he sustained.

I know that most of the people that come to this site, know my Dad, either personally or professionally.

I would like to let everyone know. he IS recovering.

However slowly. he IS recovering.

He is able to walk, he remembers stuff from the past, albeit... sometimes he mixes events or confuses who was there.

Musically.. he can play the bass and chords on the accordion but since the stroke effected his right side.. the Treble side of the accordion is impossible for him until he regains more control of his arm.

Speech has improved, though he still has trouble finding the right words some times...

My Dad has received messenges from everyone who has sent him some..

I will be keeping this site active as long as possible to keep everyone informed as best as possible.

I am leaving a note however: I run a computer business. I do NOT know accordions and cannot help with any services rendered between my Dad and his clients.

I cannot help with any repairs.

PLEASE do not call me about repairs, Microphone systems, or whatnot. because unless he begins to be able to work again there will be NO accordion work completed through us.

the (904)824-9210 was switched off and is now only my DSL line.

My Dads Cell phone also is no longer in service.
